Bathroom Remodel: Design
I've taken a break from posting to my blog for the past year, but I'm inspired again now that I have another house project to chronicle. Bathroom demo starts on Monday. I have been working on the design and sourcing for the past two months.

Floor tile: 1-inch black and white hex, Lowe's
Wall Tile: white subway (not shown). Lowe's
We are keeping everything white with chrome finishes and vintage/classic to match our 1920's Craftsman style house. A friend will be doing a mural on one of the walls to bring in color.

R.I.P George The Cat
So long to our great old cat George. She was 19 years old and died peacefully while E. was home with her today. We feel lucky to have had her for so long and that she passed while E. was holding and petting her.

window film
I have these 2 great windows on either side of the fireplace, but they don't offer much privacy so I've decided to put up windowm film. There's a great company in the UK that has some really modern designs.
Here are the windows now.
And here is the design I ordered. I'll post the "after" in a couple weeks.

2nd annual russian river camping
We had the best weekend camping on the Russian River. I feel so lucky to have such a great group of friends who are all so generous and fun. There was some amazing cooking, lots of chatting by the fire, bike rides, games, and beautiful walks.
Even some poppers made from scratch over the fire by E.R. for apps.
I'm a jalapeño convert.
The Composter
Now that we have Tate the Dog, our old composting system wasn't going to work. He loved to root around in it so we decided to get the enclosed drum style. Also takes care of the pesky raccoons that like to dig things up.
